Wing and a Prayer, Small Business Winner 2020, raises hundreds of pounds for Stray Aid

On Monday, 29 November, Lisa McDonnell, the entrepreneur behind the hugely successful Wing and a Prayer and, recently opened, Bear and Bottle, in Coxhoe, visited Stray Aid.
In December, Lisa presented a cheque for £605 to Sue and John Bielby and Jeremy Snowdon, in the presence of the gorgeous Mickey.
The funds were the proceeds of the fundraising effort from the two Christmas Markets Lisa organised in Coxhoe Village Hall at the end of October and beginning of November. All proceeds from table fees, the immensely popular Tombola and tremendous Raffle were equally shared between two of Lisa’s favourite charities: St Cuthbert’s Hospice and Stray Aid. What an amazing effort.
This donation is on top of the £500 already raised by Lisa in August when she ran an International Cats Day event at Wing and a Prayer.
We cannot thank Lisa, and all of those who have contributed by supporting the events, enough. It really is much appreciated by all of us at Stray Aid, and more importantly by the dogs and cats in our care. We are also truly honoured that Lisa has named Stray Aid as one of the charities her enterprises will continue to support beyond 2021.
Thank you, Wing and a Pray!
