Here at Stray Aid, we have long been partnered with Petplan to help bring new forever families peace of mind that their new dog or cat is insured for the first few weeks of the new chapter of their life.
We are thrilled to say that Petplan Charitable Trust has awarded Stray Aid with a £5,000 grant to help us look after and find new forever homes for those dogs and cats in our care. One of our residents who will benefit from Petplan Charitable Trust’s grant is Lara, a gorgeous Akita-cross (pictured below with our wonderful Shirly). Lara is currently looking for her forever home and you can find out more about her and the other dogs looking for their forever homes in the Rehome a Dog section of our website.
Founded in 1994, the Petplan Charitable Trust (PCCT) has a simple mission to promote the health and welfare of animals in the UK and beyond. This we do by funding advances in veterinary science as well as supporting charities committed to animal welfare. The circumstances of the animals they help vary greatly. Some are at risk, mistreated or abandoned. Others are being trained to enhance the lives of the elderly or sick, such as therapy pets. Petplan Charitable Trust have helped over 300 charities, awarding grants totalling over £13m.
Petplan Charitable Trust are proud to support not only the big organisations but the smaller outfits operating with perhaps just a handful of dedicated volunteers. What we all share is our passion for animals and our commitment to making a difference.
Funding comes from the generosity of pet owners like you, who can opt to give a small donation to the Trust when they take out or renew their policy with Petplan.
You can find out more about Petplan Charitable Trust on their website and their Facebook page.
