A fantastic way of supporting Stray Aid is hold your own fundraising event. Not only will this help to raise the much needed funds we need to support hundreds of dogs and cats each year, but it will also help to raise the profile of the charity amongst your family, friends, co-workers, or anyone else who sees you are raising money for a local charity. This means that more people are likely to donate or engage with us in the future. Our running costs are around £1,000 each day – so any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference.

 

Remember the ‘Fun’ in fundraising!

One of the most important parts of any fundraising is that you and everyone involved has FUN – so be creative!

If you need a little help, our volunteers have complied a handy list of fundraising ideas:

  • Hold a Bake sale
  • Dye your hair/shave your head
  • Host a DVD marathon night
  • Hold a coffee morning
  • Donate food/blankets/towels/collars/leads to Stray Aid
  • Hold a treasure hunt
  • Volunteer at Stray Aid
  • Host a murder mystery evening
  • Do a tombola/raffle
  • Hold a jumble sale
  • Host a quiz night
  • Do a rubber duck race
  • Ask for Sponsorship for giving up something that you like
  • Organise a singing group and perform
  • Do a sponsored silence
  • Have a charity sports/activity day
  • Hold a who’s the baby contest (everyone brings a picture of themselves as a baby, then everyone guesses who’s who)
  • Organise a themed party night
  • Do a charity car wash
  • Have a fancy dress event
